I got alot of shows comin up in the coming months both with the band and solo, it would be great to see some of you there.
Well it’s been about 2 weeks now and I’m just about recovered from what I can only describe as the best week of my life, SXSW is incredible!
From the minute we got there till the moment we left we were surrounded by music and good times, we did a lot of drinkin, made a lot of new friends and didn’t get hardly any sleepin done, all in all a great week.
It didn’t start very encouragingly when our arrival in Dallas was greeted with the words “You’re car reservation is invalid, you’ll have to find another way to get to Austin” but the lady at the car hire place was a real life angel and sorted us Greyhound bus tickets, which I gotta say was a cool way to travel.
I wanna say thanks to everyone we met on our travels out there you made our trip even better.
Anyway rather than go into every detail (which would probably take you longer than the festival lasted to read) I’ve put together a video of the highlights, enjoy….
So in 12 hours me and Lizee Brown get on the plane to Dallas Texas and embark on our journey to SXSW for my show at The Hilton Garden Hotel Creekside in Austin.
I’ve always wanted to go to Texas and once i get over the nerves of having to fly (i don’t like planes) i’m gonna be pretty excited, i got some money saved away for important things like Cowboy Boots, Shirts, Belts, Ties and i might have some left over to eat but its not a priority…
Anyway, next time i speak to you all i’ll be in Austin and hopefully see some of you at the show. If you happen to live or be in Austin or if you’re performing there, come find me and share a whiskey…
